FABFUSION TIPS
Start With the Sizzle
Flavor. Culture. Rhythm. A little oil, onion, and garlic can be the beginning of something wonderful. Choose the base that fits your dish, add your favorite FabFusion blend, and make it yours.
Two oils, two moods
Olive oil: A familiar, savory start for sautés, roasted vegetables, potatoes, chicken, beans, and seafood. Its flavor lets herbs, garlic, and warm spices come forward.
Coconut oil: A lovely choice when you want a gentle coconut note with tropical fruit, ginger, or chile. Virgin coconut oil brings more coconut flavor; refined coconut oil tastes more neutral. Check the package directions for cooking temperatures.
Build your flavor base
- Warm a little oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
- Add garlic and stir briefly, just until fragrant.
- Stir in a little FabFusion seasoning, then add your vegetables, protein, beans, or sauce. Taste and add more blend as you go.
For roasting, toss the food with oil and seasoning before it goes into the oven. For a quick finishing sauce, mix a pinch of seasoning into oil and spoon it over cooked food.
Find your pairing
- Sofrito Soul + olive oil: Start with onion and garlic for beans, rice, vegetables, or a skillet meal. This blend adds savory depth.
- Caribe Gold + olive oil: Brush onto chicken, fish, or roasted sweet potatoes for warm spice and a bright citrus finish.
- Pineapple Fire + coconut oil: Toss with shrimp, tofu, sweet potatoes, or vegetables when you want tropical sweetness followed by heat.
- Da’ Bronx Jerk Rub + olive or coconut oil: Coat chicken, mushrooms, tofu, or potatoes. Start with a little; this one brings a bold kick.
- Healing Blend + olive or coconut oil: Add its warm, earthy, floral spices to roasted carrots, squash, chickpeas, or a vegetable skillet.
Your kitchen, your rhythm. Start small, taste, and adjust. Add salt at the table if you like. There is no single right way to make a FabFusion dish.
